Owen's House - A Center for Youth Crisis Nursery
In 2016, The Crisis Nursery of Greater Rochester provided 8,849 individual child care hours to over 1,000 children in times of need. This program is the only one of its kind New York State to provide free, temporary care to babies and children during times of crisis.
Demand for these services continues to grow. In the first six months of 2017, nearly 90 youth were unable to receive service due to limited space. In an effort to meet these needs, the Center for Youth is expanding crisis services to a second location, in early 2018. Owen's House will open its doors at 464 Rosewood Terrace.
