The Center for Youth offers Learn2Earn to assist youth in establishing and successfully attaining educational and employment goals. Staff provides support to help youth graduate from high school or pass the Test Assessing Secondary Completion, formerly known as the GED.
Through monthly job-readiness workshops and individual appointments with a Workforce Navigator, youth learn:
- how to develop a portfolio;
- interviewing and job-retention skills;
- how to attain employment;
- and how to create long-term career goals.
In-school services are available to juniors and seniors at East High School and the New Beginning School in the Rochester City School District. Any youth, ages 17-21, who reside in Monroe County and have dropped out of high school or already graduated from high school are eligible for out-of-school services.
