 General Application Requirements

For the health and safety of our clients and employees, you are required to meet the following criteria prior to employment:

  • Prior to employment and yearly thereafter, staff of The Center who work in the Runaway/Homeless Youth programs are required to provide proof of having had a satisfactory physical within the last 12 months, which medically clears the individual to perform assigned duties. In addition, proof of having had a satisfactory PPD test within the last year is required. 
  • Fingerprinting clearance is required for any individual who is expected to provide services which involve direct contact with students. 
  • A State Central Registry Clearance screen will be conducted to determine if there is a documented history of charges of child abuse and maltreatment. In the event of a record of conviction for abuse/maltreatment, The Center will evaluate each case on its own merits in accordance with applicable funder guidelines and relative to the position for which you are being hired.
  • A Criminal Background Check will be conducted to determine if there is a documented history of criminal behavior. In the event of a record of conviction(s), The Center will evaluate each case on its own merits in accordance with applicable funder guidelines and relative to the position for which you are being hired.
  • All employees must have a valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier and access to a reliable vehicle on a daily basis. Employees must also carry minimum automobile insurance coverage of Bodily Injury: $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident and Property Damage: $50,000.
